Arena One
Arena One is an international hospitality service provider for arenas as well as major sporting and cultural events. The customers of Arena One, whether they are stadium operators or organizers, are hosts that assign Arena One with the catering and many further guest- and event-related services – ranging from the consulting and planning to the logistics to the marketing of their location or event. The company was founded on the occasion of the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 for the VIP and guest catering in the Olympic Parc Munich, back then under the name of Haberl Gastronomie. In 2006 the firm merged with the young company Arena One, which had been in charge of the catering and hospitality in the Allianz Arena Munich since 2005. Hence, Arena One is the exclusive catering and hospitality service provider for the Olympic Parc and the Allianz Arena Munich. Both sites are the Bavarian basis of the expanding company and have had considerable influence on the development of Arena One. After the Olympic Games in 1972, the Olympic Stadium became the home ground of the FC Bayern Munich and Haberl the official catering partner. In 2005 Arena One accompanied the club to its new stadium, the Allianz Arena Munich, Germany’s most modern football stadium. For almost 40 years now, the European top club has relied on the quality and professionalism of the hospitality expert. In the past six years Arena One has continuously expanded its expertise in the sports segment and has been in charge of the VIP areas of renowned events such as the BMW Tennis Open, the UniCredit Ladies German Open and the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Finals in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Furthermore, the company was partner of the German House during the Olympic Games in Beijing and Vancouver as well as VIP caterer for more than 120,000 guests in three stadiums during the Football World Cup in South Africa in 2010. On top of that, Arena One has been in charge of the VIP area of one of the most renowned international ice hockey tournaments, the Spengler Cup in Davos, since 2010. Dr. Stephan Thewalt is Chief Financial Officer and Frank Wassermann is Chief Operating Officer. Arena One divides its activities in the three business segments “Catering and Events”, “Catering and Arena” as well as “Catering and Business” and is among the leading event caterers in Germany.
