Angelina Tennino (Executive Director)
With a career spanning a decade in media sales and event management, Angelina Tennino brings a wealth of expertise to the ongoing development of EVMI. Immediately prior to joining EVMI, Angelina organised the industry's highly-regarded Stadium Revenue Summit, the well-received Auditoria Executive Summit and launched Stadia Design & Technology conference for UKIP Media & Events in 2008. Before this, she organised international trade exhibitions and conferences – as well as industry award ceremonies – across Europe and North American for Sayers Publishing Group (UK). Today, Angelina takes on the day-to-day and strategic management of EVMI to ensure the institute does indeed "deliver tomorrow's venue managers".
David Griffiths (Chairman)
As the former Chief Executive of the Wembley Stadium Complex, David was responsible for the safety and welfare of over 40 million visitors and growing profits by 230% in just 18 months. His expertise has been utilised in projects worldwide including The Australian National Institute for Sport, The Jubilee Sports Centre Hong Kong and The Capital Centre, Washington DC. A true sportsman, David has run in the Commonwealth Games, The World Orienteering, World Cross Country Championships and has played 1st XV rugby for London Wasps. He brings to EVMI a wealth of knowledge and venue management experience, starting with the first rock'n'roll concert ever held on Wembley's hallowed turf!
Wilfried Straub (Vice Chairman)
A former professional footballer, Wilfried Straub began his illustrious career in sports administration when he joined the German Football Association (DFB) in 1968. He rose to the position of DFB Vice President and from 2001-2005 served as the Chairman of the Management Board of DFL Deutsche Fußball-Liga GmbH (the German Football League). At the DFB he was League Secretary for over 20 years (1969-1991) and, more recently, served on the board of the FIFA WC2006 Organising Committee. For his services to the football world he received the UEFA President's Award in 2006. Today he continues as an Advisor to the DFL while also bringing his considerable expertise to EVMI's development.
Michael Siebold (Arnecke Siebold)
Michael Siebold, founding partner of Arnecke Siebold law firm, is a German native with considerable international experience. Having lived in the USA and Canada for some time, and having studied inter alia in London, UK, Michael Siebold has experienced common law jurisdictions for many years now yet remaining a practitioner under German civil law. In his practice of law he concentrates on serving clients from the all over the world in Europe, mainly Germany.
Ben Veenbrink (The Stadium Consultancy B.V.)
Ben Veenbrink is founder and managing director of The Stadium Consultancy, a specialist consultancy company for the planning, development and management of stadiums and arenas. Prior to his own consultancy firm he was managing director of Amsterdam ArenA Advisory and gained longstanding experience in the operation and the revenue maximisation of Europe's first multifunctional and most successful stadium.
Ian Nuttall (Stadia / Auditoria Magazine)
An award-winning publisher and event organiser, Ian Nuttall established Stadia magazine in 1999 and launched its sister publication Auditoria, for the entertainment venue sector in 2001. In addition, Ian Nuttall has established and developed niche industry events including Stadia's annual Stadium Revenue Summit. In 2006, he sold the publications and events portfolio to UKIP Media & Events. Now based in Italy, Ian Nuttall stays on as Founder/Director providing strategic and editorial guidance on the publications and events, while extending his own range of consulting and media services to the venue sector.
Sabine Dreesen (Head of Communications & Outreach)
Sabine Dreesen is the founder of SD Kommunikation (an agency for sports communication) and EVMI's Head of Communications. The journalist and “Medienwissenschaftler” specialises in media consulting and in operational project management for venues, sports TV and media networks. Her experience in the venue sector includes the organisation of major events, both on- and off-air, such as the “Innovationsspiel” 2007 in Düsseldorf’s LTU Arena for Sportcast, a subsidiary of DFL German Football league, specialist press work during the FIFA WC2006 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany and the organisation of EVMI's training courses to date.
Ian Probert (Researcher)
The newest (and youngest) addition to the EMVI roster, joining as a part-time correspondent/researcher, Ian Probert is an ambitious Marketing Management and Sport Development undergraduate at the University of Gloucestershire. Currently in the middle of a year-long internship at Forest Green Rovers FC. (a small professional soccer club in the South West of England), Ian has been swiftly adding to his stadium management skill-set’ through attendance of Stadia magazine’s Stadium Revenue Summit (in both 2006 and 2007). Also enrolled on the 2008 EVMI Stadium Management Summer School (SMSS) programme, Ian is clearly keen to pursue a career in the industry upon graduation.
